Our House & Club System - a sense of belonging
At Longford Park, we believe that every child should feel a strong sense of belonging, pride and connection within our school community. Our House system is an important part of how we help to build that feeling.
Being part of a House gives children the opportunity to feel included in something bigger than their own class or year group. It encourages teamwork, friendship and positive relationships across all ages.
Throughout the year, children take part in a range of House events and challenges — from our weekly celebration of the ‘House with the most Dojo Points’, through House competitions at Sports Days to our Battle of the Houses fundraisers - every contribution matters. Children earn Dojo points for their Houses for demonstrating our school values, doing their best and supporting others.
When they start at Longford Park, your child will be allocated to one of these Houses:
As well as our Houses system, our staff run a number of free clubs both during the day and after school.
This year, our club offer includes:
- Lunch Bunch
- Lunchtime Chess Club
- Whole-school choir
- Football Fanatics
- Art Club
- Book Club
- Microbits & Coding
- Gardening Club
- Board Games Bonanza
We want every child to feel proud of the House they belong to and to feel that their interests are represented in our club offer. We want our children to know that they have an important part to play within our whole school community and together we can create a happy, supportive environment where everyone belongs, everyone contributes and everyone is celebrated.
