Late applications

We can support parents and carers through the application process for Reception after the January 15th deadline. Please contact the office if you need help.

Waiting lists

Where there are more children than places available, waiting lists will operate for each year group according to the oversubscription criteria in our Admissions Policy. Applicants who wish a child to go on a waiting list must reapply for in-year admission through Oxfordshire County Council.

Applications can be made no earlier than the first Monday after the summer half-term break in June. Applicants may add their child to the school’s waiting list at the start of each academic year if an offer of a school place has not been made.

Please contact the Admissions Team at Oxfordshire CC for more information or to apply to the waiting list:

www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/primaryadmissions

Following successful application and an offer of a place, our transition process includes:

  • Welcome meeting to share school values and routines.
  • Hime visits - an informal opportunity to see your child in their familiar setting, home. Meet staff again and a chance to discuss any concerns.
  • Pre-school visits to ensure a smooth hand over of any information between early years professionals
  • Taster session (stay and play) at school to explore the classroom, meet teachers, support staff and new friends

Published Admission Number (PAN) for 2025-2026

Longford Park Primary School has an admission number of 30 for entry in Reception. The school will accordingly admit this number of pupils each year if there are sufficient applications. Where fewer applicants than the PAN are received, Longford Park Primary School will offer places at the school to all those who have applied.
