GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The School Day

The school day is structured in the following way:

8:30am Gates open
8:40am School starts
10:00-10:15am Break time
12:00-12:45pm Lunch time
1:00pm Lessons begin
3:15pm End of school

The official part of the school day starts with morning registration at 8.40am and ends at 3.15pm. Any child who arrives after 8:50am will be recorded as late. For any child who arrives after 9am, it will be recorded as an anauthorised absense. 

The total time spent in school in a typical week is 32.9 hours. This includes breaks but not the optional before or after school club or activities.
