Year 3 travel back to the Stone Age!
What an awe-inspiring day our Year 3 ‘Stone Age’ children had yesterday!
As part of their learning about life in prehistoric Britain, they came to school dressed in their most ancient, primitive clothing and began the day acting out an adventure of discovery; re-enacting life as hunters, gatherers and explorers.
Later they used foam spears to ‘hunt’ their prey and also had the opportunity to study Stone Age art, discussing what the cave paintings and carvings might have communicated.
The day ended with a raucous tribal roar echoing around the school, as the children embraced the spirit of their ancestors!
